Setting up a perfect system is a challenging process.

At FPS we are always looking for ways to improve the way we do business.

Using the knowledge we have gained over the 20+ years of making manifolds we have set out to overhaul the workflow through our machine shop.

In designing the workcell we had 2 main goals:

1. Evaluate workflow and reduce handling in order to reduce production time.
2. Redefine and computerize the inspection process to improve manifold quality.

When handling raw pieces of aluminum, steel or ductile iron ergonomics are important. Here, the operator can safely move and handle material without needing a forklift or having to constantly bend over.

Creating good work flow from machine operator to manifold inspector is important.

Leveraging computer technology is a critical part of our company.
